A lawyer for Bill Cosby says the comedian will not dignify decade-old, discredited allegations of sexual abuse with a response. Attorney John Schmitt said the fact that the allegations are being repeated does not make them true. Last month fellow comedian, Hannibal Buress caused a furor with a routine accusing Mr Cosby of rape that gained wide exposure online.
Writing in the Washington Post, actress Barbara Bowman, who accused Cosby of drugging and raping her in 1985, said she was grateful for the new attention to Cosby's crimes.
